SUMMER IS HERE! FINALLY

Hi ladies...well, I am back...my apologies for not blogging for a couple of weeks...I was sick for almost a week with a sore throat and a nagging cough...I just didn't feel good, but I am better and ready to blog again.  LOTS GOING ON!

Well Leslie...I tried out the howlite last night...and I'm thinking...I should have worn it on my HEAD, because I had a really rough night last night.  I didn't sleep much at all, but maybe if you had some stones and not just the necklace...maybe that would work.  OR>.....it could be that maybe I was worried about rolling over and breaking them....although, I don't know why, because lia sophia has a lifetime replacement guarantee on all of their jewelry, so that should not have bothered me...just lots of things were going through my head.   yes, that's got to be it...wear it on my head the next time....

anyway....I am excited about conference this year again coming up in June.  CLINTON KELLY is going to join us again.  He was so "freakin' fabulous" last year and brought his own closet to our stage.   He has great fashion knowledge and will give us MORE info this year.  One of the things that he told us last year  was get rid of the hoody!    That is right after almost 2,000 of us bought brand new lia sophia hoodies...oh well, comfort needs to play a part in there as well.

back to school

Well, it is back to school...ugh!  I walked into a mess..a flood in my room.  The drinking fountain froze over spring break and broke.  Luckily, nothing major was damaged.  My heart goes out to people that are truly in a flood.   It was a mess to clean up.  I can't even imagine what it is like to have to deal with a real flood!  I was fortunate.

anyway, we are back at it and only 42 days of school left.   I can't wait, because then I really get to work my lia sophia business every day.  I loved that last summer.  It was great to get out to connect and reach out to so many people.  It was great fun!

well, now on to telling you more about the new jewelry in the spring/summer ia sophia catalog.....it is awesome!

We left off a the ECLECTIC METAL MIXTURES....

Saturday specials

Today my Mom and I are going to the Science Center and the Art Museum.  We are so fortunate to live in St. Louis where these institutions along with the History Museum and the Zoo, as well as many other places are FREE!   It's wonderful!  GROUPON had a family membership for $35.00 for the Art Museum the other day....and in the past they have had the History Museum also....GROUPON is great too!

WONDERFUL WEEK

wELL, this is the last day of spring break!  It has been a wonderful week.   I had lunch with one daughter, visited with another daughter and grandson, got to babysit the other grandson, had great friends over last night, going to lunch with another great friend, and got to spend an evening with a friend that helped get me started into lia sophia.

This has been a crazy week for me at school, so I haven't gotten to blog this week. Tonight is our DARE DANCE and tomorrow is our SCHOLAR BOWL competition, plus REPORT CARDS are due, so after I finish with all of that, I will post more info about the new jewelry.  I am getting a few pieces here and there and they are absolutely gorgeous!

Two of the pieces that I will tell you about real quick is the POPSICLE NECKLACE, page 7, and the STACCATO BRACELET, page 6.  LOVE THEM!!!!!!   They are so much fun.  I love purple so these are great pieces for me.   I can wear these with so many different colors and does this say spring or what?????   

The bracelet style these days is to chunk them.  This bracelet has done that already for you, they are not separate, but are together so they don't move.  If you want to chunk them even more, add the SWIVEL Bracelet on page 28: great piece to wear with several other ones, as they show on page 28 or wear it alone!  

The POPSICLE NECKLACE can be worn alone or with another necklace, like the CIRCLET  on page 6 or the INTERLINK NECKLACE on page 22.  The style is to layer to be sure to take care of any negative space

MARCH MUST HAVES!

Happy Birthday Dr. Seuss

Good day to all of you!   Today is Theodore Geisel's birthday, otherwise known as Dr. Seuss!  He wrote over 40 children's books, such as The Cat in the Hat, Horton Hears a Who, and of course, How the Grinch Stole Christmas! 
We had our celebration last night at school and it was well attended.  In fact, it was awesome, so many parents and children coming together to READ.  wow!  pretty cool!   So, in honor of Dr. Seuss' birthday, I would like to offer you any piece of jewelry at half - price!  BUT.....you must give that piece to your child.  Be honest!  You wouldn't want that CAT IN THE HAT to visit your house, would you? could you? should you?  AND along with that...a Dr. Seuss book of your choice!

NEW JEWELRY..LAST DAY FOR FEB SPECIAL.....RED CARPET PARTY

Well, lots of things going on this week.  We are getting ready for Dr. Seuss Day at school.  What fun!  It will be his birthday next week.  It's always a great day at school when I can wear my Dr. Seuss slippers!

The industrielle line is quite different as well.   There is a cone necklace and  cuff bracelet in black diamond and green or black diamond and cornflower blue enamel.     There are smoky crystals, jet enamel and navy resin pieces along with the global tassel necklace with green and tortoise resin and a leather bracelet with cut crystals;quite different.

Love these pieces.

It has been a busy week at school and I haven't posted anything since Valentine's Day, except I did get a picture of our grandson's baptism.   He is such a cutie.  When the Pastor presented him to our congregation, he said, "He is a little bruiser!"...which he is, but oh so cute!   He is pictured here with his Mom (our daughter) and Dad and his Godparents.   We have another baptism coming up in two weeks for our other grandson - Max  sooooo there will be more pictures.   more to come!

ECLECTIC METAL MIXTURES

THIS IS MY FAVORITE!!!!!    I LOVE the mixed metals.  PAGE 28 AND 29 is awesome!
To start off, we have the DRESS FOR SUCCESS piece IMPROVE.  It is a 43" necklaces that sells for $98, but of course, you can get this for FREE by being a hostess or you can get it for just $15.00 by having a party.   I love the textures on this necklace also.  It is very light weight as well.

IRIDESCENT SHELL

This category is absolutely gorgeous, lightweight, and makes you want to forget about all of this snow!.
sooooo let's begin!!!!

page 20 is a great new necklace called SALTWATER.  It's chunky and the shells are bright white, clean, clear, crisp!  You can get this necklace for only $20.00 as a hostess.  They go great as pictured with the Frosted Earrings and a scoop blouse.  Wear it to work or the beach!

The new necklace, WATER LILY on page 21..OH MY GOSH!!!!!  It is beautiful!   I'm not an abalone fan, but this one ladies...is a must have!   The middle of the petal, which has cut crystals, lies flat when wearing,but the petals curve up a bit, so that it is 3 dimensional. The chain is a great buy in itself!   love it!!!  When worn with the OCEAN AIR necklace, they make a great combo if you are going for the layered look.  The necklace is beautiful with the abalone and mother of pearl and glass beads.  It's one of the long necklaces that goes to 46" so you can wear it several different ways.  To top it off, the new earrings HIDDEN GARDEN are great light weight hoops to add to your wardrobe.  The colors remind me of the gorgeous beach front when we were in Cancun last April with lia sophia. 

Another great set is on page 22 - again with abalone...I can't believe it, but I AM liking all of the this.  I am not one to wear abalone but these pieces are so pretty!  AURA is a 41" necklace, not as busy as the Ocean Air.  Very classy with the TURNOVER EARRINGS AND NECKLACE and yes....they are reversible.  the other side is that white river shell again...very pretty!

Also, on page 22 and 23 are more new pieces - INTERLINK NECKLACE, a great silver linked necklace, and a beautiful new pendant CURL that is silver and blue.  It is teardrop pendant that curls at the bottom.  Classy!

The new necklace VIOLET HOUR is a favorite!  I LOVE PURPLE!!!!  It has freshwater pearls and glass cat's eye with glass and resin beads and is one of those toggle necklaces...love those!  and it has that rich dark purple color beads with lighter colors of purple with a little gray and silver...LOVE THIS!!!!

COMMOTION is another 41" necklace that you can purchase for $20 as a hostess.  It has multiple chains on the bottom with several silver circles attached to silver rings that are shiny, hammered, and matte...it's a great statement piece!

PAGE 26 has more abalone pieces; a pendant and earrings and a gorgeous bracelet...THIS IS BEAUTIFUL!   PACIFIC...named for the beautiful ocean!  it looks like you are wearing pieces of the ocean in this hematite colored bracelet!   This also has a necklace to wear with it...DEEP SEA again with a gorgeous glass cat's eye piece suspended in the middle of the hematite pearl drop surrounding it!  
DAY GLOW is a cute cut crystal necklace that you can wear with the HERB GARDEN necklace.  This is a fun piece...lots of beads interwined with chains.  LOVE THE NEW FUSION pendant and earrings - hematite again with cut crystals....Can't wait to wear this on Valentine's Day!  These pieces go great with the JODY necklace page 59   not too flashy, but classy!   Cute new silver CHIC earrings and SEA GLASS necklace with circles and glass beads.

page 15 - WIND UP BRACELET..love this! This is great with jeans or dresses. The IMPACT bracelet on page 17 is another favorite! It lays so nicely on your arm and goes with so many hematite pieces. Also on page 17 is the SEQUIN PENDANT that is just gorgeous. Wear this along with the BORDERLINE BRACELET and the SOIREE RING and all of the cut crystals go together to make for a gorgeous outfit!

I'm back!

Well, I'm back. I am inspired by MY GOOD FRIENDS....Kelly and Linda Boehmer to post a daily blog again. School started and it is hard to keep up with everything....lesson plans, calling parents, grading papers, etc.....but....I love to blog about lia sophia, so I am going to come back so I can talk with you each day.

This week is the last week for the fall/winter catalog and there are many pieces of jewelry that are being discontinued. I will take you through the catalog this week to discuss the many pieces that are going to retire.
